It takes revelation and spiritual wisdom to live in a continual flow of appreciation. Thanksgiving is part of the spiritual components that allow us to carry out effective prayer life. Prayer and thanksgiving go and in had but we have to be deliberate in showing appreciation to the Father who gives us all things for his own good pleasure.

Thanksgiving is not just some ceremonial ritual carried out by Christians towards the end of the year; it is the call to live in the realm of appreciation the position of the fatherhood of God in our lives. It is the place of acknowledging who he is and what he has done for us. Showing thanksgiving shows that we understand the meaning and purpose of value; the values of who have been placed within our lives and things giving to us.

Thanksgiving is the place where we stop and review our journey in acknowledging the interventions of the Father. It’s the place we take stock and glorify the Lord for his Spirit of leadership and direction. Thanksgiving should not be something we do at the end of the year; it should be the very first thing we begin our day with and should be the last attitude revealed before we go to bed. Thanksgiving is a key spiritual component that reveals what we’ve become or are becoming in our spiritual journey toward that place of perfect in Christ.
