Fortunately nine out of ten women who come along to the BreastScreen program will be given an all-clear result. But for a small percentage of women, they will hear the words ‘you have breast cancer’.
In this podcast we talk with Kirsten Pilatti, the CEO of Breast Cancer Network Australia as well as Kate Keogh Murray, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2017 through the BreastScreen Victoria program.
Listen to Kirsten and Kate talk about what it’s like to be diagnosed, find out what support is available and why events like the Field of Women are so important.
