William Ospina.
He was born on March 2, 1954 in Padua, Herveo-Tolima, (Colombia). His father was the Colombian folk singer Luis Ospina. He studied law and political science at the Universidad Santiago de Cali. From his youth he devoted himself to writing through journalism and literature.

Since the time when Bolívar wrote his "Jamaica Letter", a fundamental task of this continent has been the dialogue between unity and diversity. We would lie if we said that our America is one: everywhere there is evidence of its plurality: from the coyote deserts of Sonora to the "horizontal vertigo" of Patagonia, from the countless blue of the Caribbean to that "green that belongs to everyone the colors »of the mountains and the jungle, from the air of fire on the Caribbean coast to the white night of the moors, from the fecundity of valleys and pampas to what Neruda called« the stellar horse runaway from ice ».
