What's The Skoden Podcast about?
The Skoden Podcast is an independent media platform run for and by Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island. The podcast looks at contemporary Indigenous topics and concepts that are relevant in many Indigenous peoples' lives. Every episode, our host Ashley Courchene shares his ideas through a series of theoretical and practical decolonial frameworks. The Skoden Podcast is also known for its unique and sometimes dark NDN humor which is appreciated by many.
Skoden is Native slang for 'let's go then', especially when you wanna start a fight. The guests we bring on know how to fight. In a world where we work to reclaim what was stolen by settler-colonialism, we learn how to. This is why we are the Skoden Podcast.
