The Go To Hell Podcast

The Spirit & Jesus-Centered Leadership

Listen Later

Tim and Colton had the honor of sitting in with folks at the Jesus Collective and discussing what Jesus-centered leadership looks like when transitioning from a Bounded Set to a Centered Set culture. (00:26:08) In this episode, we bring that discussion to the podcast. This is not a podcast just for pastors and church leaders. We distill the discussion down to us as individuals as we try to live a Jesus-centered life in our workplace, friend groups, and family.

Item of note, this discussuon deals a lot with the Hopy Spirit, something we have not dealt with on the podcast. We confess why, as well.

1. The Spirit is the agent of change

2. Get proficient in perceiving the presence of the Spirit in our midst
3. When we discern where the Spirit is moving, our job is to experiment with the Spirit and the measure of our success by new learnings and shifting imaginations
4. You should expect resistance
5. Form rhythms – personally and corporately – that help us live healthy and sustainable lives
6. Competence develops credibility
7. Remember the gift of your calling

Beer of the Week (00:10:27)

  • Pizza Port Shaka West Coast IPA

Cleanup on Aisle 5 (00:12:30)

  • Mercy Street: When Rock and Roll made you read books

Music of the Week (00:18:21)

  • Tim: Bruce Springsteen
  • Bruce Springsteen crosses the picket line
  • Colton: Springsteen, Jackson Brown, Bob Seeger, and those of that ilk
