The Dáil has just resumed, and Cabinet has approved a report for Ireland to reach a target of 180,000 electric vehicles on Irish roads by 2025.

The question still remains, is the infrastructure there to make buying an EV an attractive option?

The government aims to have 180,000 electric vehicles on Irish roads by 2025.

I drove an EV for the first time to check out the infrastructure, and spoke with those who have installed charging points.

Newstalk reporter Josh Crosbie drove a fully electric car for the first time to see the different services on offer.
