While we live in an evil world, God is merciful and He has given us a path to redemption. In the Garden, Adam blamed God. “The woman you sent me”…gave me the apple and I ate it. Adam made an excuse, instead of accepting personal responsibility for his behavior. There is always a consequence for sin. The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death. What is the literal and symbolic meaning of the serpent, and what was the serpent’s participation in the Garden? Do you make excuses, or do you ask for forgiveness?
