I’ll be long gone
When you hear this message
I hope you stayed strong
Forgave all my mistakes
I wrote down these words
Just to say goodbye
Time took me over
Like trees in the winter
I’m not any older
Just waiting for summer
Was promised a season
A lovely blue sky
They say
The weather in heaven
Feels like a 5th season
Where only love grows
They say
There’s no rain or thunder
Just a light filled with wonder
Someday we’ll all know
The weather in heaven
Tell all my brothers
I surely will miss them
Then tell all my sisters
Don’t cry just be with them
I lived a good life
So thankful for my days
I saw the sun rising
And saw many rainbows
I sang to the masses
And tasted true freedom
Mostly I was happy
But lost to the fray
