Tonight’s reading is a Swedish Folktale called The Werewolf. This folktale was obtained from the Swedish Fairy Book, and was published in 1921. This is not a scary story despite the fact that the title may make you think so. This Swedish tale is about a young princess and her devious stepmother. So get all snuggly under the covers...and...let's begin!

Welcome back my friend! Just a few months ago, we ventured into the Maida Series world with the first book of the series called "Maida's Little Shop" by Inez Haynes Irwin. A tale that warmed our hearts about a wealthy little girl who is sickly and lame and finds happiness living in an ordinary neighborhood with ordinary children while tending her little shop. 

Tonight we continue that journey with the second book called "Maida's Little House. We will go on a magical journey with Maida and all of her friends, while  they spend a happy summer together in a sweet little house in the country that has everything a child could wish for. So lie back and relax as we continue our journey once more into Maida's little world!  Wishing you the sweetest of dreamzzz...

Maida is back! Maida's Little House Chapter 1 & 2 (Book 2 Maida's Series)

Tonight we have the continuation of the cherished classic story of Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder as I read for you Chapters 23 & 24 Little House on the Prairie is the second book of the Little House series. This story is about a little girl named Laura Ingalls and her family who leave behind their little House in the Big Woods of Wisconsin and are now heading to Kansas. The story captures the essence of pioneer life through the eyes of a young Laura. She provides vivid descriptions of the challenges and joys of frontier living with detailed accounts of hunting trips, encounters with Native Americans, and the hardships they face as early settlers. This book has captured the hearts of both young and old, making it a cherished classic.

Welcome back my friend!  Tonight’s bedtime story is a masterpiece penned by legendary Oscar Wilde called ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’, a beautiful story of love, sacrifice, and the beauty of nature. A tale that transports us to a garden not so different from one you might find in a dream, where a nightingale overhears a young student who is weeping over unattainable love and decides to embark on a heartfelt quest.

Little House on the Prairie (Chapter 21 & 22)

Welcome back! Tonight's bedtime storytelling is 'The Tears of Prunella' by Evelyn Sharp. In this dreamy fairytale, we follow a young lad who is deaf due to an enchantment bestowed upon him by the whims of fairyland. This enchantment separates him from the world he so dearly wishes to be a part of and, with unwavering determination, he seeks to become a real boy—not for the sake of hearing the songs of birds or the rustle of the wind, but to hear the tears of his princess and offer the comfort that only true friendship can provide. 

As always, the story begins with a short 'settling in relaxation' followed by the storytelling. The soft background music will continue for short while after the storytelling to help you transition to sleep. Enjoy and sweet dreams!
