Though Jesus will soon ascend to heaven, his work must continue through his disciples and today's Christians as we pray in the name of Jesus, obey his commandments, and rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and empowerment. Just as a business must carry on after its founder steps away, the ministry of Jesus advances through believers who trust in his promises and labor for his kingdom until his return.
