Love this series!!
Things are starting to heat up in this series. With the Emperor dead & his evil daughter sitting in his seat as ruler, what is to become of the Sela children? One is hiding in the shadows in the very heart of vipers nest. Another is with the rebellion striking out for his home, but can they really make a difference? Atalia managed to find shore but is the enemy of mine enemy really her friend? And will we ever see a new lumer emerge? And finally, on the run with the princess, but where is there refuge..... I am so excited to see where this is going to go. The Sela children are going to continue to stir things up & cause (in my opinion) extreme amounts of chaos. Arenson is my favorite author & I highly recommend his books. Definitely a MUST read!!!! I'm literally bouncing in my seat with anticipation waiting for the next book.
What a great book this is!
In my opinion, Daniel Arenson is one of the best yarn spinners on this planet. Each character is presented in such a way that Arenson is writing a book about each, but spread over many books. I have never been more involved with a story as with this series. I find that I literally cannot stop reading this tale of love, patriotism, death, family relationships, religion, conquest, cruilty, and redemption. The way this story is told is simply award winning.
Best of the Series to Date
I have to admit, book 1 of this series started out a bit slow for me, but it didn't take long for me to get involved in this series. By the time book 2 came out, I was impatiently waiting to see what happened next. This book, the third in the series is by far the best yet. I've come to care about what happens to the Sela family that has been torn apart by war. The families arch enemies are now ruled by Portia after having killed her father and her brother has escaped to gather an army to retake the thrown from his vicious and cruel sister. Book 4 will be out soon and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Worth the time to read this series.
Great read
This book takes us deeper into the minds of the major characters. Getting to know them better brings them closer to us. I feel like I'm there with them. Now on to the next book so I can see what happens to them next.
Thrones fall people endure
Book 3 of this saga has family losses
continuing. The survivors are beginning to learn that life can be a tough option. But as always the cloud has a silver lining. Just have to be determined enough to survive.
