good read. I love how Mrs
Thunder's Shadow is simply a pure, good read. I love how Mrs. Hollinghead depicted the old South during WWII. I recognized so many of the 'sayings' used in the characters' dialogue. They are the same sayings I heard my parents and grandparents use so much in years past. I found myself chuckling at them. Speaking of dialogue, Thunder's Shadow has plenty of that! The dialogue keeps the story rolling along. This book is a very easy read, suitable for teens and adults.

I've enjoyed all of these books in the series, and though this one seemed a little more choppy, it covered a larger span of time. The author does a great job of creating believable characters who are not perfect, who don't always see themselves the way others see them, but who end up strong in their faith. Great story lines too!
She has done it again!
Sheila Hollinghead has written another "page turner." Great read that is hard to put down (even when you really need to be doing some else). Loved seeing Sarah Jane's trust in Michael and God grow. Would really like to know "the rest of the story" when Michael returns from the War. -- Amy Littleton
Wonderful Christian Book
I enjoyed getting to know more of the characters better and to see how God's hand was in all the situations. No detailed sexual contents, thank you to the author. I recommend this book and this author this is the 3rd book of 4 in the series. I hate to see it end I have become attached to these people in the book
Excellent story!
I found this book in my library that I downloaded back in December. I forgot all about it. So glad I discovered it. I loved all the characters. Loved reading how things were back in the day. I pray there will be a follow up on Jay & Michael. Read all of Sheila's books. You will be praying for more!
