In this mini-series about the Book of Life and salvation theology…we’re dealing with the 5 points of the “TULIP” of Calvinism. And now we come to the “I”…Irresistible Grace. This is defined as, “God…by His sovereign mandate…irresistibly FORCES saving grace upon those whom He elected.” The implications of this Calvinist doctrine are profound…including how it brings into question why we need to witness…or why we send missionaries around the world. Because, if the doctrine of Irresistible Grace is true, then the elect will be saved…no matter what we do…and the un-elect will be lost…no matter what we do.
