Remember when I introduced you to the concept of Interpretative Repertoires, or themes? Today we are going to talk about one of three overall ways women talked about stress, and that is as “the plight of women”. In order to best understand this we'll start with a little biology.

I am not an expert on gender differences. I do have an undergraduate degree in biology so I have a decent understanding, but there is much debate over gender, how much is biological how much is cultural etc. So, as I’ve said 1 million times before, I don’t mean all women or all men even if I accidentally say it. But there are differences, and I'm excited to share them and how it affects women's conversations about stress!
