It's the race that gave him a gold medal - the 4x200m freestyle relay, so it's safe to say Todd Pearson knows a thing or two about the race, but even he was sure the Australians were a shoe-in to win gold at the final on Thursday.

The Australian women still broke their own world record, but ultimately came in thrid after China dominated, and the USA's Katie Ledecky came back strong in the last leg to secure silver.
