 1.3RD CHINA-CEEC EXPO TO BE HELD IN NINGBO第三届中国-中东欧国家博览会将在宁波举行The 3rdChina-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo & International Consumer Goods Fairwill be heldin Ningbo, Zhejiang Province from May 16th to 20th.As the old international institutional exhibition launched 4 business ties with countries in central and eastern Europe, the expo will be hosted in new buildings and focus on different industries with a new exhibition area for services. Song Wenjing has more.第三届中国-中东欧国家博览会暨国际消费品博览会将于5月16日至20日在浙江宁波举行。本次博览会将首次启用新场馆，并聚焦不同产业，通过开设新的展区提供更多服务。记者宋文静带来详细报道。

The theme of the expo is “Deepening Practical Cooperation and Joining Hands for the Future”. Hungary will be the guest country of honor, while Jiangsu is the theme province. The expo, with an exhibition area of 220,000 square meters, features about 3,000 exhibitors, and is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors.本届博览会以“深化务实合作 携手共向未来”为主题，由匈牙利担任主宾国、江苏省担任主题省。展览总面积达22万平方米，参展商约3000家，预计参会人数将突破10万人。

Li Fei,Vice Minister of Commerce李飞 商务部副部长“本届中东欧博览会已经吸引了中东欧国家大约380家企业参展，参展商品涉及到智能制造、日用时尚、农食产品、旅游物流等多个品类，将向中国企业和消费者提供更直观了解和体验中东欧产品的机会。此外我们还将鼓励和支持中东欧国家和企业参加进博会、消博会等中国举办的各类展会。”“About 380 companies from central and eastern European countries will take part in the expo. They will showcase a variety of products covering smart manufacturing, daily necessities, food, tourism and logistics. It will be a good opportunity for Chinese companies and consumers to learn about central and eastern European products. We will encourage them to take part in other Chinese expos such as the China International Import Expo and China International Consumer Products Expo.”

Li said in the first quarter of 2023, two-way trade between China and central and eastern European countries was off to a steady and positive start, up 1.6 percent to 33.3 billion US dollars.李飞表示，今年一季度，中国与中东欧国家贸易额达333亿美元，增长1.6%，开局总体平稳向好。

So far, two-way investment between China and central and eastern European countriesis approaching 20 billion US dollars. In the first quarter of this year, China’s direct investment in those countries across all industries rose 148 percent year on year.截至目前，中国同中东欧国家双向投资规模已接近200亿美元。今年一季度，我国对中东欧国家全行业直接投资同比增长148%。

2.SHAKESPEARE PLAYS COMING TO A PARK NEAR YOU“公园里的莎士比亚”正在上海外滩源上演，濮存昕等参演Shanghai’s Shakespeare in the Park opened in the city this week. The Huangpu District government is hoping to make Shakespeare’s work more accessible to the public after the concept was pioneered with great success in New York 70 years ago. District official says domestic and international troupes have been invited to stage productions of the bard’s plays in downtown parks. At Rockbund, veteran actor Pu Cunxin took the title role in an outdoor performance of soliloquies from “Hamlet”. The famous “to be or not to be” line was translated as “to live or to die, that is the question,” as the 70-year-old actor recited it in Chinese.在外滩，资深演员濮存昕在户外演出的《哈姆雷特》独白中担任主角。这位70岁的演员用中文吟诵出著名台词“生存还是毁灭，这是一个值得考虑的问题”。

The first Shakespeare play was staged in Shanghai in 1879 at Lyceum Theater. Pu, who is the president of the China Theater Association, was appointed as chief consultant of the Shakespeare in the Park program.第一部莎士比亚戏剧于1879年在上海的兰心剧院上演。身为中国戏剧家协会主席的濮存昕被任命为项目“公园里的莎士比亚”的首席顾问。

Huangpu district has the largest number of outdoor lawns in Shanghai, making it an ideal place to organize such performances. The district said Shanghai is a center of cultural heritage, and Shakespeare's classics match the city's international status.黄浦区拥有上海最多的户外草坪，是举办此类演出的理想场所。该区表示，上海是文化遗产中心，而莎士比亚的经典作品与这座城市的国际地位相符。

As technology grows increasingly complex, artificial intelligence is growing right alongside it, especially in the ability to mimic【模仿】 human behavior. With just a few words entered into a prompt, some AI programs can now create human-like digital art. The most recent advances in AI and the wide use of the tech in the film industry have pushed the school to train students in these areas.人工智能的最新进展以及该技术在电影行业的广泛应用，促使该校在相关领域培养学生。

So you have to contract a lot of illustrators, cost a lot of money to have them draw what you have in your mind or you imagine. Nowadays with AI you are able to do it on your own without spending the money. The market is actually showing a lot of people using it in the business. So we want our students to have an edge when they go out into the market. In addition to using AI to come up with graphics, the school teaches students how to apply AI tech to tasks like automating character movements and creating smooth video edits. All this happened within just two months.”

Xu says, however, that he does not believe AI will completely take over the industry, adding a person still makes final decisions and AI tech is just a tool to improve efficiency.
