The commission said it welcomes multinational companies to invest in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The actual use of foreign investment in the advanced technology sector increased by over 30%. We will encourage more foreign investment in advanced manufacturing, modern services, high-end technology and environmentally friendly businesses, as well as in midwestern and northeastern China.”The National Development and Reform Commission has held 6 roundtable meetings since 2021 as a regular means for exchanges with US-based companies in China. Yesterday's meeting was the first of its kind this year.2021年以来，国家发展改革委建立与美在华商会和企业的常态化、机制化沟通渠道，先后举办了6场圆桌会，本次圆桌会是2023年的首站活动。2.CHINA SLAMS CLAIMS OF PROVIDING DRONES TO UKRAINE BATTLEFIELDS中方向乌克兰冲突地区出口无人机？商务部回应The Ministry of Commerce yesterday hit back at media reports of Chinese drones being allegedly【据说】exported to Ukraine battlefields, saying China resolutely opposes the use of civilian drones for military purposes.4月19日，商务部回应了个别媒体无端指责中方向乌克兰冲突地区出口无人机，并表示中国坚决反对将民用无人机用于非和平目的。A ministry spokesperson said strict controls are in place on drone exports and the central government will continue to strengthen export restrictions on them.发言人称，中国对无人机有着严格的管制措施，将继续采取必要措施加强对无人机出口管制。According to the spokesperson, the controls and technical standards in place are consistent with international norms. The ministry also said since the Ukraine crisis began, some Chinese civilian drone companies have voluntarily suspended their operations in the conflict zone.发言人表示，中国现有的管制范围、技术标准与国际保持一致。乌克兰危机以来，一些中国民用无人机企业主动暂停其在冲突地区业务。The spokesperson added that Beijing opposes attempts to smear【诋毁】Chinese firms.商务部新闻发言人还表示，这是对中国企业的造谣抹黑，对此中方坚决反对。3.CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER TO ATTEND LANTING FORUM IN SHANGHAI秦刚将出席“中国式现代化与世界”蓝厅论坛Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin announced today that Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang will attend the opening ceremony of the Lanting Forum on Chinese Modernization and the World at the Grand Halls in Shanghai tomorrow and deliver a keynote address.4月20日，外交部发言人汪文斌宣布，“中国式现代化与世界”蓝厅论坛将于4月21日在上海“世界会客厅”举办。国务委员兼外长秦刚将出席论坛开幕式并发表主旨演讲。The forum is expected to host foreigndignitaries【高官】, prestigious【有声望的】experts and scholars, business leaders and representatives of international organizations in China as well as members of international media. The forum's theme is "Chinese Modernization and the World", and will consist of three-panel discussions and a luncheon【午宴】with the business community.
