Tormentors – Exposing The Truth About Fear

1 Jn 4:18 there is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear brings torment.

1. Cause and Effect - Nothing Just Happens

Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your children may live.

Prov 26:2 Curses will not harm or land on someone without a cause

Rom 8:2 for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

We must understand the laws that govern life and death

The law of life in Christ Jesus includes all God promised in His Word, the blessing, eternal life, faith, a born again spirit, peace, mercy, forgiveness, prosperity, the gifts of the Spirit, healing, deliverance, protection, the holy spirit, the fruits of the Spirit and so much more

The law of sin and death which governs satan’s Dark kingdom includes fear, the curse, sin, condemnation, shame, guilt, bondage, poverty, oppression and depression, addiction, sickness physical and mental, early death and ultimately separation from God in Hell

Jn 10:10 the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

2. Faith Connects Us To Life and Fear Connects Us To Death

Heb 11:1,6 now faith is the substance of things hoped for, it is the evidence of things not seen. 6 Without faith no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.

For without faith it is impossible to please him or receive from Him

Faith and fear are very powerful spiritual forces that produce either abundant life or death

Both God and the devil need our agreement to move consistently and effectively in our lives •Every fear you face opposes the faith and promises of God

Everything Satan says should never be internalized, everything he says is the exact opposite of the truth

The truth always brings freedom, fear always brings bondage

Job 3:25 everything I feared and dreaded has happened to me.

3. Fear Not, Only Believe

Lk 8:50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Fear not; only believe, and she will be made well.”

God commands us over and over and over again to ‘fear not’

When Jesus wanted to reverse the results of death he had to get fear out in order for his faith to work effectively

Jesus understood the power of words to transmit faith or fear

Is 54:14,17 You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord
