Brandi Mitchell is the founder of San Diego Soccer Women for women over 30 who play recreational soccer. With more than 1000 players in the San Diego area the teams play through the year with a break over the holidays in the fall. Brandi’s social media efforts and partnerships with women's soccer organizations around the world have brought visibility to the athletes playing in their senior years, including into their late seventies and early eighties using their website to provide resources and information.  Brandi has been a life-long soccer enthusiast and started playing youth soccer in Southern California at age five continuing through her senior year of high school. She was introduced to the adult soccer community in San Diego at age 27, where she was cheered on by her husband and children. Sixteen years later, at age 43, she continues to play several times per week, now in age 30+ and 40+ leagues.
