The Risaalah of Abdullah Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawaaniy is a short - yet comprehensive and blessed - book and covers many topics and subject matter.
The author is Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawaani is Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Abi Zayd Abdur-Rahmaan, born 310-386 hijri (922-996 Gregorian). He was the head of the Maliki school of Qayrawaan – in modern-day Tunisia.
Our teacher is Shaykh Muhammad Drammeh, born in the West African country of Gambia. He is highly educated in both the traditional methods as well as the modern ones. He has acquired numerous Ijazaat (licenses to teach) in the areas of fiqh (jurisprudence), Hadith, Qur’an, and Tasawwuf.
