True revival started in the early church where 1000s and 1000s turned towards God and delighted in having regular fellowship. Most importantly we see their fellowship in one accord and harmony. Most of the chapters in the book of Acts, especially 1st 10 chapters we see the unity and harmony which brought greatest revival, joy, blessings, healing, miracles, deliverance and restoration.

It was John the Baptist who cries out for changed hearts and lives, urging people, in Mt. 3:2 - "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."

Even Jesus stressed on repentance with similar words like John the Baptist in Mt. 4: 17. "From that time Jesus began to preach saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand."

What is Repentance? A great evangelist once said, "Making alive again those who have been alive but have fallen into what is called a cold or dead state." They are Christians and have life, but they need reviving time and again to bring them back to their first love and the healthy steady growth of the spiritual life.

We see there are several people who were alive means experienced new life in Christ, took baptism but still hold on to the strings of the world, arguing openly before other new born in Christ, gossiping about others, making groups and putting l all efforts to put down others, strained family relationships and the list goes on.... If there is even one thing in us, we need that revival which comes through Repentance.

One of the way or to test ourselves whether we have lost the first love and the passion to live a godly life is the Word of God.

This is the question TO ALL OF US, including pastors evangelists, Leaders and others - "Do we have the strong desire within and eagerness day after day to start the day early morning to read the Word of God and delight to know what God is speaking to us every day? If we are not having the delight and enjoyment in meditating the Word, then it's time to all of us to make a true turn around for revival and restoration of first love.

Help us Lord to have a revival and take us from the cold and dead state to be alive to have the first love.
