In today's episode we talk to Shiva, a mother of two, who touches on a life experience no mother should have to encounter. Shiva's daughter was diagnosed with bacterial (pneumococcal) meningitis at four months old. In this discussion, Shiva opens up about her daughter's story and the signs and symptoms of meningitis she wishes every parent knew (including ones often overlooked by doctors). Although confronting in some areas, this episode is altogether very informative and something every parent should listen to so they are able to continue to advocate for their child in the event of sickness.
