Hello! Waking up this mindful poetry mini podcast again, during these challenging times. Here's a mindful poetry to pause, to keep quiet while at the same time allowing yourself to be more fully present to what you are carrying in your heart. I hope this calms you as much as it reassures me.
This is an exploration of embodying the poem, through being aware of our breathe and the movement of our body.
Sa paghinga ikaw ay malaya.
Malaya sa pagdududa
Malaya
Malaya sa diwa.
Ako, ikaw, ngayon.
Bitiwan ang mga kadenang dala.
Humuni ng kanta ng pag-asa.
Narito ka.
---
In breathing, you are free,
Free from doubt.
Free.
Free to be.
I am in you, present now.
Release the chains we have carried.
Hum a song of hope.
You are here.”
Raquel's first podcast creation is inspired by poems that she has written and shared with friends during this pandemic, some reflections and musings about the internal life, the grace of being present in the moment and the beauty of the world. After joining a 9 week class on poetry [Tungkuan ng Tula | Steps in/Tripod of Poetry], her teacher Rem came up with meditative poetry when describing her poetic voice. This inspired her to share poems in a meditative way for others to listen to in their own mindfulness, meditative practice. You may e-mail her at [email protected] if you have any poem requests or for any comments or suggestions.
