Last Saturday, Tullow ladies won the Paul Flood Cup for the second time in a row. While that match was in progress the Carlow senior hurlers came back from seven points down in the second half to force a draw with Laois in the Joe McDonagh Cup in what was a thrilling encounter.
The following day, Tullow won the Provincial Towns Cup for the second time in their history.
All three games had supporters of both sides on the edge of their seats with a nail-biting end to all matches.
A Towns Cup winner himself, William Cas O'Brien, discusses the Tullow achievement while Carlow GAA Photographer, Pat Ahern, confirms that, for him, this was a vintage performance from the Barrowside hurlers.
