United States Sets Record With More Than 50,000 Daily Cases

The Texas governor issues an executive order that requires masks in public. Florida reported a record of 10,000 new cases. Texas, California and Arizona are among the 37 states that are facing surges. Birx is telling Floridians that are under the age of 40 who have attended large gatherings to get tested, even if they don't have symptoms. A top official says the spike in coronavirus cases is real and not due to more testing. States close beaches and bars as experts warn that the holiday weekend could lead to the "perfect storm." A lawsuit has been filed over Palm Beach County's mask mandate.  

Local officials are saying that young people in Alabama are holding "coronavirus parties" to get infected and win money. Former Presidential Candidate Herman Cain has been hospitalized with coronavirus after attending the Trump rally in Tulsa. Jackson Health System is pausing elective surgeries. 

Trump is still in denial as cases hit record numbers, he claims the crisis is "being handled."Experts dispute Trump's claim that the coronavirus is "getting under control." Trump is planning holiday celebrations despite coronavirus concerns.
