Why do folks continue to find themselves in vicious cycles of scarcity, abusive relationships, and shitty situations? Carolyn Elliott, PhD argues that it's because we refuse to acknowledge the unconscious pleasure we derive from the taboo side- the shadow side- of our being. The side of us that loves all the "bad" experiences.
Elliott refers to this side of use as "Existential Kink". She says when you learn to harness your existential kink, your life will transform because you learn how to unleash your full power. 
In this conversation, I chat with Carolyn about her philosophy, how it helped her build a $1.2 million business, and why it is further proof that all white women love the financially abusive system known as white supremacy.

Kristine was interested in working with me because she had launched a cupcake business with her BFF, but they did not see eye to eye with money. They were bumping heads a lot. Kristine is very ambitious and wanted to scale the company quickly. 
Her friend was chill and mellow. She wanted to build the brand slowly and was not interested in running a huge company. 
At first, I thought our work would be solely about Kristine and the cupcake business and some friend relationship therapy. But, as it turns out, Kristine had a few more layers we needed to work through before addressing her business relationship with her BFF.

Kristine's journey of healing her relationship with money and her inner child (Part One)

In today’s episode, I’m going to walk you through the work I did with a private client named Brandi. Brandi had $35,000 in credit card debt, had never had an orgasm, and had low self-esteem. 
When we first started working together, Brandi was doing freelance web design work. She was earning about $60,000 a year in gross revenue. Also, her monthly revenue was inconsistent. Some months she would do $10,000 in sales and in other months it could be $2,500 or less.
When Brandi decided to work with me, her goal was to generate at least $100,000 in sales in one year. Now, after our work together, Brandi pays herself a salary of $110,000. She paid off $35,000 in debt within two years and grew her team to three full-time employees.
