Though we are unworthy and unsuitable to bear the cross of Christ, Jesus alone was qualified to suffer for our sins, offering us the privilege of following Him in faith and sacrifice. Despite Peter’s impending denial, Christ’s foreknowledge and love demonstrate that salvation is given not to the deserving, but to sinners who repent and embrace His grace.
