Deciding what hospice agency to use can be challenging.  The Care Compare website from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) can help. Care Compare (previously Hospice Compare) offers information about individual agencies, including consumer survey results, the typical diagnoses for which the agency provides care, and contact information for the office.  If you’re a hospice director or administrator, it’s good for you to be aware of what the public can see online about your agency. Because the information is publically available, potential contract partners for GIP and respite care can also see your agency’s information.  It might be beneficial for all the members of the interdisciplinary team to see how your agency compares to state and national scores as well.
