"The memory I'm going to share is more of a cultural rather than a personal one. It comes from that absolutely iconic poster of the Indian cult classic movie Mother India, which has the main protagonist, the heroine of the film Nargis, operating the plough, assuming the role usually taken up by an ox or a bullock. But it truly presents a vibrant and vivid metaphor for what a mother does for her children. She ploughs the environment in which they are born, trying to make it ideal for them."
