IGNACIO RAMONET.
Born in 1943 in Redondela (Galicia) and raised in Tangier (Morocco), he is director of the monthly Le Monde diplomatique, Specialist in geopolitics and international strategy and professor of communication theory at the Denis Diderot University in Paris. Ramonet is a doctor in semiology and in cultural history from the School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences, where he was a student of Roland Barthes . He is the author, among other works, of The visual treat, Marcos, the rebel dignity, A world without direction, The tyranny of communication, Rebels, gods and excluded, Silent propaganda and Post-television.
