In today’s sermon, on the feast of Theophany, Fr. Micah describes the beauty and the greatness of Christ’s baptism. He points out how the Old Testament foreshadows this event through stories such as Creation, the Flood, and the Exodus.

Fr. Micah also points out the characteristics of water and what it can teach us. Water is essential to life, just as our relationship with Christ is essential to our life. Water seeks out the lowest places, just as we should seek out the low places, being humble in all things. Water reflects the light of the sun, just as we can manifest Christ’s light into the world.
