For this episode, we are publishing one of Rinpoche’s teachings from 2010 about the Buddhist concept of Refuge.

In this talk, Rinpoche looks at two ways to go for refuge: the first is going for refuge out of a desire for safety and the second is going for refuge out of a compassionate wish.

There is a powerful segment where Rinpoche likens the vulnerability and delicate innocence of someone in the process of awakening to a butterfly emerging from it’s cocoon. This really resonated with me and I hope you are able to connect with this idea as well. Enjoy!
