CW: Sexual assault, religious abuse, mentions of Mars Hill and other harmful churches, general trauma

We grabbed coffee (but not really cause it was hot af) with a pastor and it wasn't traumatizing! This week we had the opportunity to interview a local pastor, Donna Burkland, who is a queer disabled woman co-pastor from a new church plant in the Red Curtain of Orange County, California. Donna is a survivor of religious abuse and is an amazing advocate for individuals to deconstruct and decolonize their faith. Her church, Safe Harbor Orange County, exists as a place for individuals to rest, restore, belong and become within the safety of community.
