Heat Wave: A dangerous and prolonged period of record to near-record high temperatures are forecast across southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina beginning Friday and continuing until at least Tuesday. High temperatures Friday will be from 95 to 100 with highs during the afternoon hours Saturday through Tuesday reaching or exceeding 100 degrees. Heat index values could reach 105 degrees or higher, which would neccessitate the need for a heat advisory. Spotter information statement. Spotter assistance is not anticipated at this time.
