In an episode that is more somber than most, we are joined by two very special guests. The very unfavorable topic of MILITARY SEXUAL TRAUMA has caused severe hurt to so many of our veterans, male and female, and it needs to be stopped. The demoralizing act has ruined the self-confidence and morale of some wonderful people, and Kimmer shares her story of disappointment, anger and frustration. There is help, you are not alone, and WE are there for you!! This is why - Wear the Green and Don't Be Unseen! Listen as Kimmer explains the hurt and separation that is caused by these multiple instances of sexual abuse. You will be angry and hurt and will hopefully be driven to help make changes for the better!
Dom Cours is also with us to share some of his new music. He has a few upcoming shows where you can see him play. He’s got a gig on opening night at FARM, which stands for Farmers Assisting Returning Military, and another show on Veteran’s Day at the 5x5 Brewery which happens to be owned by an Army veteran. Check out Dom if you get the chance. His first song on this episode is Aspen Leaves. He tells a story about how he got the opportunity to go hunting in Wyoming and now he’s got that elk hunting fever. The next song was Nobody. He and his brother wrote this entirely fictional song about a guy that caught amnesia. He may or may not have done something wrong before he caught amnesia, but he doesn’t know and everyone else thinks he’s guilty. The last song was called Ten Toes. The title to this song admittedly comes with a few laughs, but it’s about getting your feet underneath you and taking a stand on firm ground. Dom is a long-time friend and artist of WeP3, and we will have him Wear the Green and Don't Be Unseen as well.
