The Prayer of St. Patrick

"Christ with me, Christ before me,

Christ behind me, Christ within me,

Christ beneath me, Christ above me,

Christ on my right, Christ on my left"

Psalm 139:7-10

We tend to think:

God is in Heaven

God is in our hearts

God is in church

God is up and far away in the heavens,

but also intimately close in all directions.

God is in our hearts,

but He's not alone in there

God is in church,

but also Walmart (and everywhere else).

Our challenge:

To break down the walls we put up between the sacred and secular, and start to find God in all things.

Our comfort:

To know that whatever comes, wherever we find ourselves God is already there.

How would our way of life change if we actually lived like God is everywhere?
