Because Colombia is seen so cornered by the social crisis, because it lives a situation of increasing violence so dramatic , what is the cause of all that.
Recently, a dear American friend confessed her astonishment at the situation in Colombia. "I do not understand," he told me, "with the country that you have, with the talent of its people, why Colombia is so cornered by the social crisis; why do you live in a situation of increasing violence so dramatic, why there is so much injustice, so much inequity, so much impunity. What is the cause of all that? " For a moment I set out to try an answer, but there were so many things that gathered in me that I didn't even know how to start. I felt that even if I spoke without interruption the whole night, I would not be able to convey the explanations that I continually give myself, trying to understand the complex country to which I belong. On the other hand, I understood that many of my explanations would not have liked my friend, or would have put her in conflict with her own version of reality. It is common for us to hear from generous lips the deploration of
