3:05pm- The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is requesting that all federal employees submit an email outlining their accomplishments over the past week. In a post to X, Elon Musk suggested that a failure to respond could lead to termination. Leadership at the FBI, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the Department of Homeland Security said that responses to DOGE would not be necessary. Other agencies—like Health and Human Services—expect their employees to comply with DOGE’s request.
3:30pm- During Tuesday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed that the Trump Administration will no longer allow the White House Correspondents’ Association to select which journalists receive exclusive access to President Donald Trump.
3:40pm- Yesterday, news circulated that the Philadelphia Eagles would decline a trip to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory. It turns out, the report—which originated in The Sun—was completely false. Later in the day, several sports journalists noted that the Eagles are excited to visit the Trump White House and are looking forward to officially receiving an invitation.
3:50pm- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has selected conservative podcast host, and former Secret Service agent, Dan Bongino to serve as the bureau’s next Deputy Director.
