Today we're in week 3 of the new sermon series on Elijah and Elisha. They were prophets who were seeking to live out their faith in the midst of troubled times. In the midst of fear and uncertainty Elijah and Elisha called the people of Israel back to faith in the living God.

Today's Scripture passage is 1 Kings 18:20-39. It's one of the more famous stories of Elijah, the prophet challenges the 450 false prophets of Baal to a competition. God comes through in a big and dramatic way to answer Elijah's prayers. But, Elijah also has a message for us today, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” Don't be split in your devotion. Trust God.
