Continuing in the book of John and our Who is Jesus? series, Pastor Dustin Clegg leads us through John 17:1-19 and emphasizes an overarching observation: God is best understood and known by surrendering to, knowing, and following the Biblical Jesus. Then he leads us through 3 awkward questions from tense statements in this part of the prayer of Jesus that may help us surrender, know and follow Him better:
1) How can Jesus say the Disciples kept His Word?
2) Why does Jesus say that He doesn't want the father to remove them from the world?
3) How can Jesus say the Disciples bring glory to Him? 
Keep the Word of the Father by laying down the monastic mindset and letting Jesus do whatever He wants with whoever He wants in our individual lives and the life of this Body for their sake, our sake, and His glory.
