Mit Upadacitinib steht seit Sommer 2022 ein weiterer, sehr potenter Januskinase-Inhibitor zur Therapie der Colitis ulcerosa zur Verfügung. Elena Sonnenberg gibt eine Einschätzung, wie Upadacitinib auch nach dem Rote Hand-Brief eingesetzt werden sollte und wie wichtig die neue Therapievielfalt für die oft jungen Patienten ist. Außerdem gibt es einen Ausblick auf den IL23-Blocker Mirikizumab, der im Mai 2023 zugelassen wurde.
