Luther's message was never "reformation." Reformation was a consequence of Luther's message. Initially, Luther had no idea what he was birthing but he knew he was exiting a system. Reformation started with an admittance that the current form was illegitimate. The Reformation was not exclusively a transformation of theological paradigms but it gave permission for men to re-think anything by way of the Spirit.
