Happy Valentine’s Day! We hope you’re lonely like all of us. We start today with Mal reading our auras and then immediately got into our Super Bowl Sunday’s. Rory cooked for Julian and company. The mac & cheese was better than expected. After a lot of shots we ended up at a strip club. On a more tame night, Mal laid low while Demaris went home. We brought our disagreement from the group chat to the mic and discussed Rihanna’s performance, which was very Kanye inspired. This led to a heated debate about Chris Brown vs. Bruno Mars. After settling down we make our predictions on next year’s halftime performer. Have you seen these red boots? Everyone in? Good. The ride continues. On Saturday Drake released “Taylor Made Freestyle” ft. Tupac & Snoop Dogg (AI voices). Is AI good? Was this appreciation or appropriation? Does this second release change Kendrick’s release schedule? We provide speculative answers to all these new questions (10:43). During this discussion Rory also offers an apology to J Cole (27:34). So far this has stayed on the mic, but we all believe this could be taken to the streets. Speaking of streets, Rory & Demais stepped out for a movie premiere (1:07:01). When I say stepped out I really mean sprawled out. Our poor Baby D fell down the stairs in a packed movie theater in front of Bun B and plenty of other industry people. She wasn’t the only one falling to her knees this weekend; Devin Haney got dropped three times in his loss to Ryan Garcia in Brooklyn (1:20:00). Over in Manhattan, both the Knicks and Rangers won their first playoff games. It’s time for voicemails! We discuss our favorite hip hop duos (1:27:34). Episode 259 | Apparently Mal Needs Therapy

Mal is gloating. Rory is instigating. And Demaris is sliding down a wall. A battle has been fought... well, kind of. We jump right into the retelling of our weekend with rap and where we all were when J.Cole dissed Kendrick... as well as when he apologized. Mal has a legendary monologue, letting us know exactly how this weekend marked the end of J. Cole's career and legacy as a GOAT. We contemplate whether the Big 2 will continue their bromance or end it, and Mal gives us some insight as to why Drake didn't show up to Dreamville Festival (46:45:). Mal (again) challenges Kendrick to drop his Drake diss so that hip-hop can be saved (57:05), and finally the heat is off Cole and on to Wale and Meek Mill, who were arguing on twitter at the time of taping (1:27:15). Mal challenges Rory to find a better rapper than Drake (excluding Jay-Z) (1:38:57), and it is once again himself vs. the room.
