<a href='https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willtown'>Willtown</a> on the Edisto River was first known as New London.  It was the second planned town in South Carolina, after Charleston.  The remaining buildings are now on the <a href='http://www.nationalregister.sc.gov/charleston/S10817710074/index.htm'>National Register of Historic Places</a>.
