God made mankind in His image, both male and female. Each marriage from Creation to New Creation is a foreshadowing of the greater spiritual union between Jesus and His people. Our sexuality is neither an accident nor an afterthought of God. It’s part of His good design for humanity even though sin has warped our sexual desires and actions. Proverbs calls us to gladly submit to God’s perfect reign over our whole beings, including our sexuality. This is the way of wisdom.
