Welcome to our introductory episode of BYNT!!! This is a short one where we dive into who we are and how BYNT came to be.
How did BYNT develop? As two ambitious best friends we always sought to empower everyday women to be their own advocates and the idea of creating a podcast was always on the forefront of our minds but simply, life got in the way. It was until 2019 where Natassia was on her way to New Orleans where the idea came about again and of course, as the bestie soulmates they are, Nina had the same idea and it was time to bring this podcast talk to full fruition...emojis and all via text.
Who are we? We are two long-distance best friends. A friendship that has lasted over 14 years (even though we lose track of time ourselves). We are the children of immigrants - Nina with her Costa Rican and Haitian heritage and Natassia from beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nina is a structural engineer who focuses on historic preservation and community advocacy. She's moved around A LOT, but still has her heart in South Florida, where her bestie Natassia lives. Natassia is a digital marketing professional in the travel industry, with a love for fashion and not taking herself too seriously.
We have both struggled with feelings of self-doubt, self-image and confidence throughout different periods of our lives. We're both also on a journey of self-development and paving our own paths - and we want to inspire you to join us, whether you're already on this journey or you need support along the way. This is a positive space, with no judgment. We hope you can join us on this journey! Reignite the FUEGO within you!
