Welcome to After Alexander! In this introductory episode, we’re going to briefly skim over the period from the formation of the Persian Empire to the death of Alexander, the man who eventually conquered it and died unexpectedly in 323 BCE.  This episode is essentially a filler episode with a quick bit of context.

Sources will be more academic in the future, but this is just a brief summary and I thought I'd write down where my schoolboy knowledge came from...
