God wants to bring us into a place of rest and abundance. But we often need troubles to drive us back to His feet, when comfort makes our hearts run cold.

What if the true purpose of discipline in Christ, is for us to become mature in fostering our intimacy with God in and out of season, as well as furnish our character?
