001: Introducing The Core Four, My Personal Development Pillars

In this episode of the Wake Up Call Podcast, I’m introducing my four pillars of personal development, which I like to call the Core Four! I’ll be referring to these throughout my podcast episodes, and digging deeper into each pillar in future episodes. The Core Four help me stay grounded, motivated, and healthy - both physically and mentally!

My “Core Four” are:

  • Movement - Not necessarily always “exercise,” but moving your body to celebrate and nurture it in your daily routine.
  • Mindfulness - Bringing your awareness to what’s happening right before you. If you have racing thoughts, try journaling. It forces you to slow them down long enough enough to capture them!
  • Habits - These are routines ingrained in our brains that keep us productive, healthy, and sane during chaotic times!
  • Growth - To me, this means constantly learning and developing, and staying curious about the world around you.
