My 11 Core Philosophies of Business and Life

  1. Sales – Nothing happens until someone sells something.
  2. Marketing – Everything is marketing and marketing is everything.
  3. Systems – It is best to do things systematically, since we are only human and disorder is our worst enemy.  Hesiod, Greek Poet 650 BC
  4. Vision – Without a Vision, the people perish.  Write the Vision and make it plain on tablets so that he who reads it may run
  5. Measuring and Management – If you cant measure it, you can’t manage it.  Whatever you measure improves. – Drucker
  6. Systems Manuals – The only thing worse than having your business in your head, is having your business in one of your employees head
  7. People – Business is the business of people.  Life is the business of people
  8. Personal Development – Make it your goal to earn a million dollars, not for the money, but for the kind of person you’ll have to become that can earn a million dollars.  Jim Rohn
  9. Positivity – Business is either good or bad between your own two ears
  10. Fitness – You cant do good if you don’t feel good
  11. Work is Holy.  Work is not a curse, work is a blessing.  Work was created by God and gives us dignity and purpose.
